Weight Watchers Weekly Weigh In #5
Today is weigh in day. There are a couple of things I need to clear up though. Watch the video first, then under it, I will clarify what needs to be clarified, okay? Okay. Thanks
Okay, the first thing I need to note is Tishia Lee’s weight loss blog is nomoreplussize.com. And the second thing to clear up regards the measurements. I didn’t lose all those inches since beginning this newest journey on Weight Watchers. The last time I measured was way back last spring when I first began Weight Watchers online. Then I got off track, so the loss is a from a combo of what I lost last year and what I’ve lost so far. Make sense? So, here are my measurements today (just for a good reference in the future):
Hips: 46.5
Thighs: 25.5
Waist: 43.5
Bust 41.5
Arms: 14.3
Dress Size: 16
And one more thing: Last night, at Tishia Lee’s birthday dinner, I shared a Triple Chocolate Meltdown with my friend Angel of Plus Size Skills.
Oh, and we recorded some fun videos, which will appear on Plussize Bloggers soon, so be sure to check those out too
and to take the Plus Size Bloggers challenge and get a chance at winning a Wii Fit Plus. I did!

Began the 200 Situps Challenge Today
What is wrong with me?! LOL! I love the motivation I have to finally start exercising and eating right! I think the 200 Squats Challenge and the 200 Situps Challenge work for me because they give me a goal to reach. Sure, I could probably set some of my own goals to reach, but they take the homework out of it, ya know what I mean? They teach you how to properly perform the exercises and give you the amounts to perform for each set and so on. I don’t know, I just really feel motivated by these challenges.
So, today I began the 200 Situps Challenge. And while they call them situps, they are actually talking about crunches or curl ups. I use my workout ball to rest my calves on while I do the crunches. I was able to pump out 75, although I’m not sure if my range of motion is up where it’s supposed to be. You’re not supposed to lift your lower back off the floor, and I didn’t, but I was only able to lift the upper part of my back, not the middle part….does that make sense? Anyway, I’m sure my range of motion will improve as I continue doing them. I think I will do them again tomorrow, starting out on week 1, Day 1. I think I will be a little less aggressive with these than I am with the squats…maybe…I really wanna lose the belly fat!!!
Will you join me in the 200 situps challenge? If so, please leave a comment and let me know you did so we can help keep each other motivated
Oh, and if you’re tracking your weigh loss progress, be sure to join the Plus Size Bloggers contest to win a Wii Fit Plus!

First Day of the 200 Squats Challenge and Blogging Contest
Hi ya’all! I just wanted to pop in real fast with a couple of things before I head out to Celebrate Recovery. I began Day 1 of the 200 squats challenge and I was able to manage to squeak out 48 of them! I was pretty impressed with myself. My daughter is home from school today, so she counted for me and I think it motivated me to keep going. I might have been able to squeeze out a couple more, but I was starting to lose form, and I didn’t want to do them incorrectly…that’s cheating anyway…I’d only be cheating myself. So, I’m very pleased with 48. I will do them again tomorrow because Wednesday’s I’m in town all day working on youth ministry stuff, so Monday, Tuesday and Thursday are going to be my squat days. Friday’s I think I’ll do a cardio workout.
Well, you’re probably wondering what the blogging contest is all about. If you look on the sidebar, you’ll see a button called “Plus size bloggers.com”. If you are a plus size blogger, and you keep track of your weight loss efforts and weekly weigh ins on your blog, you’ll be eligible to be entered in a drawing for a Wii Fit Plus!!! I’ve been wanting a Wii Fit Plus for a very long time now and would totally love to win it! So, I added my blog to the tracking contest (which officially starts March 1, 2010) so I can have a chance to win. So, if you’re tracking your weight loss efforts on your blog and blog weekly about it, then head on over to plussizebloggers.com and get in on the contest too
One more reason to stay motivated, right?!!?

Stepping up the Exercise for Better Fat Burning Results
Hello! How are you all today? I’m doing great! My thighs are slightly burning and sore right now because I just did 31 squats. Why did I do 31 squats you ask? Because I am taking the two hundred squats challenge! If you’ve been following my blog, you know that I’ve been doing Weight Watchers for the last few weeks and am dedicated and motivated to lose 80 pounds by Sept. 1, 2010. So far my weight loss has been super slow so I’ve decided to step up the progress by adding more exercise. I’ve been doing a dance aerobics video which is 25 minutes and is a good cardio workout, but I need to also tone and strengthen my body…not just lose the fat. Plus, when your body has more muscle, it naturally burns more fat. So, I am doing the 200 squats challenge for a couple of reasons: 1) To help my body burn more fat and 2) to get my legs back in shape. I used to have pretty, thin legs, but since I’ve put on the extra poundage and have gotten older (how did that happen so quickly???) my legs are cellulite ridden and heavier. It would be nice to have decent legs this summer
So, the initial test is to see how many squats you can do, in the proper form of course. For my age, 31 is in the excellent range, so I’m pretty proud that I could do 31 to start with. I did take a 3 second breather after 28, so I should probably only count 28, but I did push myself to 31. After doing them, I was out of breath and my legs felt like jello, but it did feel really good to do them.
It doesn’t cost anything to join the challenge, so I encourage you to join too if you’re looking for a great way to get motivated and give yourself a goal to reach. I’ll keep you posted as to my progress. Leave a comment and let me know if you’re going to take the challenge as well.

Day 2 on Weight Watchers
Hi there. Just thought I’d give you all a quick update on how it’s going so far since I started Weight Watchers 2 days ago. I know it’s only been two days, but I think updating here regularly will help keep me on track and accountable. These first 2 days have been pretty easy as far as keeping track of my points and not going over them. I haven’t felt too awful hungry, though right now I am kind of hungry…but it’s midnight so there’s no way I’m going to eat this late at night. I’ve got my water by my side, and I know as soon as I go to bed, I will be fine.
The last two days I’ve done pretty good as far as healthy choices go. I usually have a high fiber bar and coffee for breakfast, then about 11 or so I might have a bowl of oatmeal. I really enjoy cereal but haven’t had any yet. I know I should buy skim milk, but just haven’t yet, so I haven’t indulged in cereal, other than oatmeal.
I’ve chosen some fruits and veggies over other snacks and I only had one of my famous tacos, that my hubby actually made…lol. But, they are 9 points each, and one is plenty. Before I started WW, I actually began thinking about portion sizes a lot. I don’t know why in the world we think we have to eat so much. I think the fast food industry has fooled us into believing we have to eat a lot in order to be satisfied. Balonie!!! If you eat smaller portions of food throughout the day, not only do you keep your metabolism going, but you also get a lot more variety. I love eating a small, healthy snack and then a couple hours later, another one. I feel more energized and I love the added variety I get.
Anyway, I’m feeling pretty good about myself…oh except for the lack of exercise.
Really gotta get back at that, back on my schedule.
How are you doing at your weight loss or other goals?
