As I stated in my last post, I recently had my blog (this blog) critiqued, and I have slowly been working on improving it as I have time. Just tonight, as I was looking it over, I realized a very important item was missing. I didn’t have a scripture for my blog. So, I said a little prayer and asked God. I felt in my spirit that the scripture for my blog should be the one you see now at the top of my sidebar, Psalm 139:13-14.
As I was typing it out, I also felt God speak to me about something else. This also goes along with one of my previous posts too, but this time God was telling me that I am wonderfully and fearfully made. And that I am his beautiful creation, and not only does he want me to see that, He wants each one of you to see it too! You are wonderfully and fearfully made…by God.
We are his creation, his workmanship, his handywork. (Ephesians 2:10) We didn’t just get here by science or magically. (My husband will argue with the science part…but you know what I mean). God purposely created you and me for this time because He loves us. And when we don’t love ourselves we are basically saying what God made is garbage, trash, rubbish. Is that what we really think of God? That He would create crap? I know He would not. The bible tells us in Genesis that when God created us, He said it was good and when God says something is good, you know it’s good! Imagine what God’s measure of good is compared to ours. And He said we were good.
If you’re reading this and you suffer from low self esteem, and don’t think you’re good enough, pretty enough, smart enough, good looking enough, talented enough, skinny enough, fat enough, tall enough, short enough, average enough, or think that you fall short in some way or another….Enough of that thinking I say! And so does God! He wants you to know how much He loves you and thinks your beautiful just the way your are. So stop comparing yourself to what others think, and remember how God sees you, how God created you. In HIS image! So you know you’re good!
